Michael Alan Sears is the Managing Director of Sealeys Estate Agents. He has worked in the property industry for over 25 years commencing his career with an agency in London Docklands in the early 1990s. Michael is a fully qualified member of the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) and ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents).
In addition Michael is also a qualified Surveyor and member of SAVA (the Surveyors and Valuers Accreditation)Michael lives in Gravesham and is a keen supporter of Ebbsfleet United Football Club, where he served as a Director for eight years and Vice-Chairman for four years. Michael’s spare time pursuits include worldwide travel (it helps his sister lives in New Zealand) – he even met his wife Laura whilst on a trip to Peru, the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands! Michael is a keen supporter of local charities including being a trustee of the local charity ‘Walk Tall’.
Michael and Laura share their home with Molly the Trailhound and Marigold and Linda the Chickens!
Lesley is our Lettings Manager – she joined the company in 2006 and has risen through the ranks to her current position. Her role includes managing the lettings team, rental market appraisals, marketing properties and accompanying viewings. Before joining Sealeys Lesley was a retail manager at a London branch of the fashion chain Dorothy Perkins.
Lesley lives in Gravesham and enjoys spending time with her family, watching box sets and keeping busy in the garden. Lesley is an Arsenal FC fan despite the fact that her family follow, Crystal Palace and Chelsea!
Catherine is the Senior Administrator at Sealeys and has been with us since November 2005. Catherine carries out all of the administration for our sales department as well as personal assistant duties for our Managing Director. Before joining Sealeys Catherine worked in educational administration including roles at the University of London.
Catherine lives in Gravesend but grew up in the village of Hartley near Longfield. She is passionate about the creative arts and is a regular visitor to art exhibitions in London. Her other hobbies include photography, embroidery, baking and being a member of a book club.
She is the proud owner of three Labradors and one comic genius cat. She takes part in fundraising events several times a year for animal charities. She can go from normal to dog bore in 60 seconds … don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Margaret is Sealeys’ Lettings Administrator and has worked in the property industry since 2004 including working at Ward and Partners. Margaret’s responsibilities include processing rent payments, preparation of tenancy agreements, arranging rent guarantee insurance and safety certificates for Landlords and property marketing. Before working in the property industry Margaret was the Office Administrator at Ebbsfleet United Football Club.
Margaret is local and very familiar with the area as she has lived in Gravesend since 1986. Margaret enjoys spending time with her family – she has three daughters and is a very proud mother and grandmother. Margaret has a passion for travel especially to destinations in North America (this has earnt her the office nickname of Judith Chalmers!).
Debbie joined the Sealeys team in 2016 as our Sales Co-ordinator, she is responsible for arranging viewings, agreeing sales and making sure they go all the way to completion. Now as the Sales Manager, she is responsible for the Sales Team performance as well. Before joining Sealeys, Debbie was a full time mum to two girls. Previously she was a Financial Services Trainer for Black Horse, part of the Lloyds group and trained financial advisers all over the south east.
Debbie lives locally and enjoys days out on the back of her husband’s motorbike, walking her dog and cooking. She loves travelling and has had her best holidays in Egypt and Kenya.
Natasha Thynne has been our Commercial Assistant since May 2017. Natasha has previous experience in legal practice but has decided to use her experience with a different approach, enjoying working in the commercial department, supporting colleagues with different types of clients/properties.
Outside of Sealeys Estate Agents, Natasha is mother to a son, most of her activities are to ensure they get out and about keeping active by visiting parks/amusement places, sometimes Natasha enjoys it more than he does! Natasha is family orientated and enjoys spending time with all her family.
Adam joined Sealeys in March 2018 as our Lettings Negotiator and in July 2019 took on his new current role as our Residential Sales Lister. He has a Foundation Degree in Acting and has performed in various shows around the country including supporting Walk Tall, one of the charities Sealeys’ sponsors, with their drama related activities to improve the lives of vulnerable children and adults within the community. Adam has a passion for music, performance, football and travelling and has always dreamt of moving abroad.
Hazel joined us in May 2018 after previously working within the construction and sales industries. She started her career with us as our Sales Administrator but soon demonstrated a natural talent for sales negotiating and so began carrying our viewings for us in January 2019 when she was promoted to Sales Negotiator.
Outside of work she devotes much of her time to her raising her young son but when she does get anytime to herself, she enjoys singing and binge watching shows on Netflix. She has a passion for arts and crafts and enjoys completing projects for her friends and family.
Chris joined the Sealeys team at the start of June 2020 as our Lettings Negotiator, and rapidly settled into the role. Day-to-day, Chris spends his time responding to lettings enquiries, attending viewings, and generally handling the move-in process, as well as filming and editing video tours.
With prior experience in customer service across a number of industries, as well as having attained his Bachelor with Honours in English from the University of Leicester, Chris has brought a good balance of personability and professionalism to his work.
Keenly competitive, Chris enjoys spending his time keeping active with a particular interest in both basketball and football, or watching films with friends during his downtime.
Nicola is our Property Manager and looks after all aspects of management and maintenance for our portfolio of residential landlords, including communication between tenants, contractors and the landlords to ensure all parties are suitably satisfied. Nicola ensures her team oversee that maintenance requests are handled appropriately and in good time so that both we and our landlords are providing the best service possible to the tenants. This also means finding and building relationships with the best contractors in the local areas whom we know are reliable.
Outside of work Nicola enjoys playing Netball for a local team, spending time with her family and taking long walks with her Beagle Porridge.
Holly joined Sealeys in early January 2020 as our Senior Lettings Advisor when Sealeys purchased the company of her previous employer, New Ash Green Letting Company. She has worked in the lettings industry since 2015 and gained a wealth of knowledge which has helped her greatly in her new role with us. Her role is varied and on a day-to-day basis can include many different tasks anything from marketing the property right through to overseeing the end of a tenancy.
In her spare time, she enjoys going for nice walks, reading a good book and socialising with her family and friends.’
Liz has worked as an Estate Agent for over 35 years since beginning her career in 1985. She is a Propertymark professional who offers vendors and purchasers an efficient and knowledgeable service. She is a strong believer that every client needs to be treated as an individual rather than just another number or sales statistic. Her focus is on helping people, sell or buy their treasured homes and helping them on their next property journey.
She has always lived in the Gravesham area, growing up in Istead Rise and Meopham and now living in Gravesend. This means she has an excellent knowledge of the area in which she works which is extremely important and beneficial in this industry.
Outside of work, Liz has a passion for horses and competes with her own horse at Dressage, Showing and occasionally a bit of Show Jumping and Cross County. She also enjoys various fitness and sports activities, gardening and of course has a general interest in property.
Elliot has lived in Gravesend his whole life. He started his career in property when he left Gravesend Grammar School in 2013. Since then, he has gained valuable knowledge in Property Management including viewings, move-in procedures, advising on property maintenance and representing clients in County Court.
Outside of the office, Elliott has a passion for films and the cinema, finding out about new music and is an avid football fan.
Monica started her estate agency career 20 years ago with Walker Croft & Jarvis at their Meopham branch, joining Walker Jarvis Estate Agents & Chartered Surveyors in 2004. During her career she gained experience of working within all aspects of property sales. She happily settled into her current lettings’ role over three years ago and has gained an additional wealth of knowledge of all aspects of property repairs, maintenance and compliance.
In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym, socialising, shopping, taking hot holidays and city breaks and history.
Sean obtained a BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance at University of East Anglia in 2008. In 2012 he gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Real Estate and in 2013 he achieved his Masters Degree in Real Estate from London South Bank University
He has continued his professional studies, becoming a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents in 2017 and attaining Chartered Surveyor designation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2019. He is currently in the process of studying to be a Registered Valuer.
Sean’s experience relates to Residential & Commercial Sales, Lettings & Property Management, working in Gravesham and surround locality for 11 years.
In his spare time he enjoys football and golf and taking city breaks in Europe with his girlfriend.
Caroline joined us in July 2019 as a Full-Time Lettings Negotiator. All her previous customer service experience was put to good use and she quickly became a vital member of our Lettings team. Following the birth of her daughter in 2020 she has re-joined us in a part-time capacity as our Lettings Assistant and all our staff and clients agree its so good to have her back!
Caroline does not really get any spare time as she is a busy mum to four girls but when she does, she enjoys getting out into the countryside for long walks and spending time with her family and friends.
Olivia joined our Lettings team in October 2020 as our Assistant Property Manager. Day to day, she carries out inspections for residential properties, move outs, and inventories; as well as dealing with maintenance reports and other general issues.
Outside of work, she likes to go to the gym, walk her dog, and socialise with her family and friends.
Following the announcement on Monday 4th January 2021 by the Prime Minister that England will move to a third national lockdown, the government has confirmed that Estate Agents can continue to work and house moves are permitted to go ahead.
The guidance states:
"You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary. Estate and letting agents and removals firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings. Follow the national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing, letting fresh air in, and wearing a face covering."
The safety of our staff and clients is at the forefront of all that we do. We have worked tirelessly since the start of Coronavirus Pandemic to incorporate a Covid-secure service including Covid-conscious property viewings and appraisals, both virtually and physically. We are, therefore, grateful to receive confirmation from government that we can continue to work in this manner and assist our clients with their property journeys during this unprecedented time.
Our office in Parrock Street remains OPEN with access is via pre-booked appointment ONLY. For the security of employees and clients our staff are working in split teams, each team alternating between working from home or within the office but remaining separate from each other to prevent cross-contamination.
Only two people at any one time may attend a pre-booked appointment at our office and they must be from the same household only. Visitors must wear face masks (unless medically exempt) and are asked to sanitise their hands upon arrival using the facilities provided.
